The Baker River
The Baker River rises on the slopes of Mt. Mooselauke and twists and
turns its way south and east through the towns of Warren, Wentworth, Rumney and Plymouth where it merges with the Pemigewasset
River.
PEMIGEWASSET RIVER
The Pemigewasset River begins its life in Profile Lake at the base of Cannon Mt. in Franconia
Notch. As the river winds its way south it is joined by the Lost River, the East Branch, Mad River, Beebe River
and the Smith River before it merges with the Winnipesaukee to form the Merrimack.
WINNIPESAUKEE RIVER
The head waters are at Lake Winnipesaukee. The river flows through downtown Laconia into Lake Winnisquam.
From Winnisquam it flows into Silver Lake in Lochmere. The river then flows down through Tilton and Franklin where it
merges with the Pemigewasset to form the Merrimack River.
